I will keep the H7. 2 that I ordered, but...

it is much more complex than I had in mind. Several years ago I bought a aimple on/off Ledlenser headlamp, which I wanted to duplicate.

H7.2Rrrrr!

This is the third H7 I’ve bought! I made a mistake though: this one does not recharge, but the battery fits so I swap it into the older H7.2Rrrr. Nearly continuous use every workday, swap the battery once per 8 hour shift. I wear the strap out of these headlamps, and listen: L.L. sweet lamps here replaces them. Dare YOU to try! The focal lamp is absolutely necessary, even for outdoors whatever you’re doing out in those woods...? Don’t care. This headlight is perfect for keeping people from looking at you directly, even in daylight, which puts you in a place of instant power over them. When they ask you to turn it off just say NO. You’ll see what I mean. Get the Rrrrrr version or regret it. It’ll take regular batteries too when you forget to charge it. Worth it.

H7.2

Nice head lamp. Had a little bit of buyer remorse when I saw the H8 model at almost the same price, it is twice as powerful. The operation of the H7 is not for the technically challenged like myself. Since I will use it in the basic mode mostly not a big issue, but I will have to keep the instruction sheet with the head lamp if I ever want to use the advanced options, or even going from low to high beam. Various sequences and number of clicks are needed to change settings. One will be 7 clicks another feature 8 clicks and so on, it is not intuitive in the least. Could it be reprogrammed to something more basic and user friendly like one click for low, two for high, three for power saving mode etc. Seems it starts at seven clicks and goes up from there.
