V2 Dual Color

V2 Dual Color
Designed specifically for law enforcement, the V2 Dual-Color is a tactical light with red LED setting to preserve night vision. Because hitting the "wrong" switch color can mean compromising the mission, each one - red and white - has a unique switch textured for recognition by touch. Lightweight, powerful, and very versatile, this is one of the brightest (or not) lights out there.

        Comments about V2 Dual Color:

This is a great little light. I have had it for about a year now and carry it every day. I am in Law Enforcement and I carry it on my belt as an emergency backup light or for when my full size light is too bright (like reading a map in the car). When I am off duty I carry in on my belt. It is small enough to fit under my shirt just fine. I have also used it on a couple of camping/hunting trips. It is small enough that I keep it with me at all time and bright enough to be of use around camp and hiking back to camp. The AAA batteries are easy to find and small enough to carry extras.

          Comments about V2 Dual Color:

I bought this to use as a small light to have around for occasional use, outdoor use, and because I've never had a light that cost more than $5 and wanted a good one. I was very happy with the output and the use at first. However, the buttons on the side are so easy to push accidentally that it was always on and always dead. Even in the sheath, it was always dead because it would turn on. I tried it on my belt, in a pack, and even in a drawer. Now the only time I use it is with fresh batteries and I remove them after use. I would not rely on this light for anything. Better on/off buttons and this would be a great light.

          Comments about V2 Dual Color:

I work in law enforcement and I'm also in the military. The idea of a compact yet bright LED dual color light was very appealing to me. After placing the provided pouch on my duty belt, the first time I attempted to use it it was dead. Apparently it doesn't take much at all to initiate the on/off buttons placed on the side of the flashlight. The buttons should have either been recessed or, they should require more pressure to turn them on. I replaced the batteries and decided to give it a second try, this time being more careful about how it was placed on my duty belt and in the pouch itself. Sure enough, the next time I tried to use it, it was dead again. The buttons had been unintentionally depressed. This should be marketed more for casual use, NOT tactical use. Whoever designed this I'm going to assume has ZERO tactical military or law enforcement experience.

On a side note, other than the terribly designed on/off feature, I think the flashlight is well made and extremely bright for the size. Too bad I won't be using it.
