Comments about H7.2:

I use this light on a daily basis for work. I work the hootowl shift on heavy equipment doing servce work. I really like the led lenser lights. This light is a really good light all except for the low battery indicator, It blinks constantly when the batteries get low & it is a pain in the butt. Im not getting all the battery life I can get out of my batteries. You really should figure out a way of elimating the low battery indicator. In order to be satisfied I would like the old style led lenser without the low battery indicator.

    Comments about H7.2:

We bought these lights for our caving tours as the we knew the predecessor for robustness and simplicity and the nice wide beam of light as the default setting.
The new light however drains the batteries too quickly and it's setting switch is far to sensitive to the accidental activation due to both the size and location of on the back of the battery pack.
I would consider using it for personal use as it offers one of the best beams available but I would most likely disable the switch on the back as it has no real use.

    Comments about H7.2:

I am a physician (head and neck surgeon) and I use this light in the hospital an and in clinic. I need a consistent bright light that is focusable, lightweight, and easy to use and carry around. Performance of the light is very good and the focus works very well for close up work. The biggest downside of the light is that the programmable back and front buttons turn on very easily when carrying the light around in a pocket - causing frustrating unintentional changes in the light program or the light spontaneously turning on. In order to stop this you must perform an inconvenient maneuver of holding a button down for 5 seconds to "lock" it and then repeat this inconvenient maneuver when unlocking. A simple small "off" switch on the back battery box would solve this problem. Then the light could be reactivated quickly when needed. This is the only reason I give the product 4 instead of 5 stars.l

This tool is awesome. I go through a lot of headlamps. This is the best one I have ever had. It is bright and the focus on norrow beam has a better distance than any I have seen. It is very comfortable to wear. One comment to a new user is the focus ring on mine was very hard to turn on the initial use. Had to use a rubber strap wrench to break it loose. Now it is fine.

The H7.2 fits the Petzl hardhat that allows hands free operations. I always carry spare batteries on extended service periods (greater than 5 hours).

        Comments about H7.2:

I absolutely love the HL7 series lights. I must admit I am partial to the previous version, but that may be because I've had it longer and it is an old and trusted friend. I use it all the time when working on house repair projects - really great for freeing up your hands when you're contorted trying to reach a plumbing or electrical issue. Also great for camping and hiking, the low level wide beam is perfect on a moonless night for reading by the fire. I've used the wide high beam to light our backyard for the grandkids when a flood light burned out. Great for biking to light the road and improve your visibility to drivers.

It's really my go-to light for any situation needing illuminating. After a recent 3 day power outage, my eldest son-in-law told it was just solidified why the HL7 was his favorite present of all time.

Bottom line - if you don't have one, buy one. If you do have one, buy one for a friend ... or several if you're lucky enough to have more than one friend.
