Let there be light!

Incredible headlamp. The Auto focus mode is legit as fu¢k! The strap is so comfortable I often forget I have it on me noggin. And the battery life is superb considering how fu¢k|ng bright this thing is

Brightest I've Used

The headlamp is by far the brightest I've used. It's also very comfortable to wear and adjusts very easily. My only warning is to beware of looking directly at the light, as it will hurt your eyes.

Lots of features and impressive light intensity

Great headlamp with lots of features and impressive light intensity. I love that the headlamp is rechargeable via a magnetic charge system. Not only does it make charging comfortable and easy, also having the battery status indicator is a huge advantage over carrying and potentially change batteries on the way. Also love the RGB mode. I often use red light while camping to not disturb others with bright lights. Also for reading in the tent this is mostly enough light. The additional overhead band is great. Personally, I don't always like a headlamp crossing over my head (especially when in camp, sitting, reading etc.) But as the headlamp is on the heavier end, having the option to put on the overhead band and not have the lamp fall and hurt my nose when moving (e.g. hiking), is a great feature for me. I'm also a fan of the reflective elements. The transportation lock is great! As I typically carry my headlamp in a bag with other stuff, making sure it doesn't turn on accidentally is a great feature. Overall I think the HF8R signature has great features. The different power modes and the advanced focus system is pretty impressive. Personally I found the features a bit overwhelming when using the headlamp for the first time. It took me a while until I eventually made it into the RGB mode. Also to figure out the advanced focus system needed some time playing around with it. But once I got there I found it really impressive to have the ability to customize the focus point and light scattering. The App mode is something I haven't seen for a headlamp before. Not sure in what situations I would use it though. For me personally, the HF8R feels a bit heavy. I would probably not take it on a multi-day backpacking trip, put definitely bring it to a sunset / sunrise hike, where I know the time hiking in the dark is longer than 45 min. Also for dispersed camping where surrounding light might be minimum. I think the adaptive light beam and option to use the headlamp hands-free comes in very handy in situations like this. I had the impression the headlamp became hot quite fast (after playing around a little bit it already felt pretty warm especially on top).

I've been using Ledlenser lights for many years really appreciate their ability to focus light from spot to flood. For the past few weeks, I've been using the New HF8R Signature and Ledlenser has taken their lens technology to a new level. Here are my reasons why I LOVE this new headlamp. - Quality build. It feels and looks well-built as I've come to expect from Ledlenser. - Advance Focus System from Spot to Flood is still available. - Now it has automatic focusing and dimming. They call it Adaptive Light Beam Technology. This means you turn it on, and the light does everything for you. - Comfort, the back strap is similar to a scuba dive mask which holds well and is comfortable for extended use. - I'm very fond of my Ledlenser headlamps but this new HF8R Signature has moved to the top of my list. Look no further, this light does everything and it's bright too!

This Ledlenser HF8R is an amazing headlamp. I've used it on my scouting trips to get to places I'll be hunting elk in the fall, and it's worked perfectly. It's also very helpful when launching my driftboat on early morning fishing trips. The Adaptive Light Beam technology is stunning. It's such an innovative tool, especially when hiking trails. Having automatically dim and focus is so helpful. When you're close to a tree or a bush, it dims so the light doesn't blind my eyes in the bounced back light. Also, it's been perfect in rainstorms, definitely waterproof. I also really appreciate the focus wheel that adjusts the advanced focus system. This allows me to dim and focus the light setting on my own. The battery certainly lives up to what it states it will do. I have had no issues with the power going down on extended times in hunting areas or on rivers. Finally, having the 4 color options is fantastic. I can choose from white, blue, green or red light. The red light really helps when I'm around other people and don't want to affect their night vision. This is the best headlamp I've ever seen or used, kudos to Ledlenser!!
