So far so good.

When I would use my F1R flashlight that contained the 18650 battery, it would blink within a matter of minutes indicating it needed to be charged. Putting it on charge, the charge light would never turn green, even after being on charge all night. I didn't want to risk a fire, so I stopped using the F1R and started using my P5R.² flashlight. At least the battery in that flashlight lasted a little longer before statrting to flash. After debating for a long time, I finally broke down and went on the LEDLENSER website to purchase one of each battery, but they were both out of stock. I put myself on the notification list and when I was informed that both batteries were in stock I purchased them. The new 18650 battery charged up without any problems, and so far it has been good. I was tempted to buy two of the batteries, that way I would always have one fully charged, but being on S.S. disablity, I couldn't substantiate the extra cost. At least I have the P52.² as a spare when I need to charge the !8650 battery. I did my research to find out if LEDLENSER batteries are protected, and looking at the original batteries, you can see the thin metal strip, or wire that runs from one end of the battery to the other. This, along with the narrowing of the battery at the negative terminal and the positive terminal being vented, indicates they are protected. If your flashlight needs a new battery and this is the one for it, I recommend it over less expensive batteries because with it being a LEDLENSER branded battery, you know that it's a quality product.

Help requested for M7R

I have enjoyed several years of great service from my Ledlenser M7R flashlight, it has been dependable, robust and does a terrific job. However I am experiencing a problem that lead to my purchase of your battery. It is not holding a charge and I now suspect the charging cradle is not charging the unit or the flashlight is not accepting the charge? The charging cradle indicator light comes on with a blue light , but does not turn red or green and as described, the flashlight does not hold a charge. I really like this flashlight and I hope that you can help me to resolve this issue. A loyal customer, Charlie

Battery

Battery replaced the one that came with my P7R about 4 years ago. This one has more mAh than the original, but I’m yet to test the operating time difference.

LEDLENSER Battery

I always worry about my battery wearing out in the field. So I bought this one as a "backup" just in case the battery that came with my new LEDLENSER Headlamp went dead on me or did not work properly. How I hate to think that I did not have a backup battery. I guess I would be in the dark!
