Waterproof and
dust tight
IP68 is two ratings in one. The 6 means no dust gets in at all. The 8 means it keeps working under water, past a metre deep. Most cheap lights are rated for splashes and nothing more.
Six reasons it outlives
the light you own now
A beam that changes with the job
Most flashlights pick a beam at the factory and you live with it. Twist the head on the P7R and the light moves from a wide flood that fills a bay to a tight beam that reaches the far fence. One hand, in gloves, in the dark.

Change the cell, keep the light
Unscrew the base and drop in a fresh one. Ledlenser sells them direct. No tools, no service centre, no waiting. The light outlives the battery instead of dying with it.

Charges on the cable in your console
Same cable as your phone. Three hours from flat and then it holds. Top it up in the truck between jobs and stop buying batteries at the counter.

Runs three days on one charge
2,000 lumens when you need to see the far treeline. Or 25 lumens for 80 hours when you just need to see your hands. Most people never run it flat.

Small enough to live in the door
It sits in a glovebox or a door pocket without taking it over, and it is heavy enough in the hand that you know it is built. Cold does not bother it either.

Backed for seven years
Register the light online and the cover runs a full seven years against material defects and workmanship. Ledlenser has been building and refining the focus system in Germany since 1994. The warranty is how much they trust it.

A cheap light is not cheap
Most people replace a counter flashlight about once a year. Batteries, or it gets wet, or the switch gives out. Ten years of that costs more than buying one light that lasts, and you spend those ten years without a light half the time.

Common questions
Why does this cost more than a light from the counter
Because you buy it once. A $15 light has a sealed cell, a fixed beam and a splash rating. When the battery fades it is finished. This one has a cell you replace, a beam you change and seven years of cover. Over ten years it is the cheaper way to own a flashlight.
Can I really change the battery myself
Yes. Unscrew the base and swap in a standard 21700 cell. Ledlenser sells them directly. No tools needed.
How waterproof is it, really
IP68. The 6 means fully dust tight. The 8 means it keeps working under water past one metre. Rain, snow and a dropped-in-a-puddle moment are all fine.
Which one should I get
Get the P7R if you are not sure. Get the Signature for the brightest beam, the longest runtime and a charging dock in the box. Get the Pro if it lives on a job site, because it is drop tested to 2 metres and rated to -20 °C.
Will it survive a cold truck all winter
The Pro is rated to -20 °C. All three seal at IP68, and the lithium cell holds charge for months, so it will be ready when you reach for it in February.
How long does it take to charge
180 minutes from empty over USB-C, on the same cable as most phones.
