I had forgotten that I had bought my sister in NY the same model. The "battery" went dead after several years of limited use, so we were trying to figure out how to replace it. She found the box it came in, and the directions. We were surprised that it was rechargeable! We just didn't notice how it was done. Recharged it and works great again. I then decide I needed one for myself. What a great powerful little light, and love it! I also own several of the very big X21R super size lights and also gave one as a gift. Lights up a big area like daylight. I have also bought a number of LED Lenser headlamps that I used at work before I retired, and now use at home. Great reliable products that you can't go wrong with!
